11.Dickies
Stopped off at a local Dallas chain… we had sausage (pretty good, made for them down in Austin) and brisket (terrible, not worth a photo).
Green beans were good. BBQ Beans were almost straight out of a can. MacNCheese seemed homemade (basically over boiled pasta and runny cheese sauce) and very watered down. The Brisket was basically just mushy fall-apart beef with nothing resembling true brisket. Needed sauce to be edible and have some flavor.
Have eaten at Dickies over the past 10 years (not for the last 4 or so) and this was probably the worst. It comes down to the individual crew working that day at that location and if they take any pride in what they serve.
But we are definitely starting to see a trend. If you serve crap, they will come.
